Rich in Borage Seed Oil (Borago offifficinalis), a herbaceous Mediterranean species from whose seeds this precious lipid is extracted. It stands out for its high gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) content.

When it comes into contact with water, this handmade soap transforms into a creamy foam that facilitates effective and delicate cleansing, leaving a very soft finish without an oily sensation.

Ayuna makes its 100% natural and biodegradable soaps through a chemical process in which a fatty element is neutralised in a basic aqueous medium to generate soap + glycerine. This reaction is known as Cold Saponification, a method involving: mixing together ingredients, saponification and sedimentation or curing.

Unlike conventional industrial processes, artisanal cold saponification is a much lengthier and more delicate process involving no heat, that guarantees the formula retains all properties of its ingredients, as well as a very high natural glycerine content (at least 7-8%). By using top-quality raw materials, the artisanal cold process does not require repeated washing of the mixture, which is typical in the industrial process—thus reducing its water footprint and making it a much more sustainable and eco-friendly technique.

How to use: Daily morning and evening. Face, neck and décolleté.

Creamy Cleanse: Gently but effectively removes all traces of impurities and make-up. Rub the bar between wet hands. Generate a creamy texture. Apply onto the skin, using a light massage on the face, neck and neckline, being more insistent in difficult areas. Rinse off and dry.

Foaming Cleanse: Oily skin and/or with visible pores, leaves no greasy residue. Activate the product with water and a brush, etc., until a creamy foam forms. Massage into the skin. Rinse off with warm water and dry.

Aqueous Cleanse: Delicate skins, ideal for removing make-up from the eyelids and lips. Activate the product with plenty of water until a micellar water forms. Moisten a cotton wool pad, gently cleanse and/or remove make-up from the face and eye contour. Repeat the application until the cotton wool pad remains clean. Rinse off with warm water and dry.
